I don't usually comment on anything because I've never been able to express my appreciation into words but I'm going to try this time.
I would say that this story basically pushed me into a roller coaster of a ride but in the end, I just felt it was like coming home? I swear at one point, I just wanted to claw at my face because "omg it's going to be one of those fics where they end up as friends and they are going to be happy just being that" and I was fully going to accept that fact but I'm glad it didn't! Not because I crave for the endings where Joonmyun and Chanyeol HAVE to end up together somehow but because from the start of the story, to introducing their characters, and all the decisions/growing up they had to do, the ending concluded everything beautifully.
I don't think I've ever loved a character as much as I have with Joonmyun, who represented a part of me (and I'm sure everyone actually) where we try to be strong, not for others but also for ourselves. And how we tend to keep our burdens inside and accept the things that happen to us as we go on. Also Jongdae who was such a joy to read, with his relationship with Joonmyun and everything.
I don't even know what to say, I found myself tearing up at points, not for the usual reasons (character death and whatnot) but because sometimes it's so unfair, but at the same time it's not? Because life does go on and it sucks. I guess that's why it got me all emotional when Chanyeol made his decision, or when Joonmyun couldn't move on.
I'm sorry you had to read this mess of a comment (I tried;_;) But thank you for the yogurt shop, the bratty yet attentive Jongin, the snippets of history, and of course, Joonmyun and Chanyeol's story. It was such a lovely read. So lovely :')
